We cherish our relationship with former students and always look forward to hearing from you.
The pooled resources of many generous contributors have funded our most exciting lecture series, the prestigious Benefactors' Fund lecture, which brings to Dartmouth such distinguished classicists as Thomas Habinek of the University of Southern California, Lesley Dean Jones of the University of Texas, and award-winning novelist, journalist and critic Daniel Mendelsohn.
Philanthropy to the department by generous alums have also made it possible for Classics students to participate in archaeological digs, carry out research at universities and museums around the world, and to complete off-term study programs in the Mediterranean.
Those with fond memories of studying in Reed 322, our departmental library, will be pleased to learn that supplementary funding contributed by supporters of the Classics has enabled the purchase of many new items, including the convenient Loeb Classical Library series and the student-friendly Latin and Greek texts of the Bryn Mawr commentaries.
