Research in Classics embraces a broad range of disciplines including literary studies, ancient history, archaeology, philosophy and reception studies. Faculty research enriches the undergraduate curriculum and creates opportunities for students to collaborate on projects with faculty mentors and develop their own paths of investigation through directed reading courses and Honors research. Webinars, talks and presentations by scholars from around the world are a regular occurrence in the Classics Department and are often incorporated into the classroom experience. In addition, Classics students have the opportunity to compete for monetary prizes related to their studies, as well as to apply for funding for Classics-related travel or study in their off terms.
