The Atherton 1883 Greek Prize

The Atherton 1883 Greek Prize is a monetary prize awarded every spring to the member of the junior class who has demonstrated the best achievement in Ancient Greek. An additional prize may also be awarded to the member of the first-year class who has demonstrated the best achievement in Introductory Ancient Greek.

The Class of 1846 Latin Prize

The Class of 1846 Latin Prize is a monetary prize awarded every spring to the member of the sophomore class who has demonstrated the best achievement in Latin. An additional prize may also be awarded to the member of the first-year class who has demonstrated the best achievement in Introductory Latin.

The Edward R. Perkins Literature Prize

This prize is awarded to that undergraduate Dartmouth student who shall show the most promise in Greek, or in Latin, or in English literature.

The Justin Firestone '92 Memorial Prize

Established in 2006, the Justin Firestone '92 Memorial Prize is awarded to a Dartmouth undergraduate for excellence and imagination in visualizing or otherwise interpreting in multiple media the ancient Mediterranean world through coursework undertaken in the Classics Department.

Zarbin Prize in Classical Archaeology

The Zarbin Prize in Classical Archaeology is awarded every spring to a Dartmouth student for an outstanding research project in classical archaeology. In addition to a monetary award, the prize may include a book selected by the Classics faculty. The prize may also be split between multiple recipients as deemed appropriate by the faculty.
