Classics Students Met a Consular General of Greece

 

Members of the Classics and Art History departments had the opportunity to meet with Stratos Efthymiou, who is the Consul General of Greece in Boston, when he visited the Dartmouth Campus on February 18, 2022.

As Consul General, Mr. Efthymiou oversees the academic, scientific, business, and cultural relations between Greece and the States of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island. In Boston, Mr. Efthymiou is engaged in science diplomacy and innovation activities, mainly through the Hellenic Innovation Network. You can read more about him here.

When he visited Dartmouth, the Consul General met and had lunch with Prof. Julie Hruby (Classics), Prof. Irene Kacandes (German and Comparative Literature) and Profs. Ada Cohen and Zenovia Toloudi (Art History). He also enjoyed a tour of the Hood Museum with Classics majors Margaret Ferris '22 and Will Bagger '24.
